This is done by always writing<\/a> something important while\nleaving something more important out. A good example is by telling your\nsubscribers about the benefits of your newsletter. Then, you should announce\nthat there will be a surprise for them in the next one. Make sure you have\nsomething prepared. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before you send out your first newsletter,\nhere are a few tips:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Target your audience properly.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This one is very important because most\ncompanies send newsletters to everyone. While this can yield more results, it\ndoesn\u2019t guarantee any conversions. Here\u2019s a secret that not many people know\nabout. When getting leads, make sure to get the profile, such as location,\ngender, and age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Divide the list into demographics and send\nappropriate newsletters to each person. For example, do not send invites to an\nevent in the United States if your subscriber is in the United Kingdom. They\nwill simply delete your email and your future emails may be sent to the spam\nfolder. Instead, for example, send a newsletter that is targeting people in the\nUnited States only and a different newsletter for people in other countries to\nattend a webinar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Write an interesting subject title.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Effective subject titles may vary, but there\nare several important components that must be addressed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • First, do not use baseless\nclickbait subjects. People hate being manipulated into reading something they\ndon\u2019t want. Instead, tell them what to expect, while using clickbait language.<\/li>
  • Next, never threaten the\nsubscribers by telling them they will e.g. lose money, fail, never get clients,\netc. I\u2019ve received emails like this and it is not only annoying, but quite\noffensive at times.<\/li>
  • Lastly, use emotional language.\nYou can search for these words, but some examples include: powerful,\neye-opening, impressive, etc.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    3. Add a call to action that cannot be ignored.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Call to actions are exactly what they are.\nHowever, you should create one that gives exact instructions in three or four\nwords. It should be something that the reader can do and won\u2019t waste any of\ntheir time. Test out different CTAs and see what works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    4. Write a short newsletter and limit the images.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Newsletters are not blogs. You should be\ndirect about what you want to say, sell, or have your subscribers do. Most\nnewsletters won\u2019t be fully read if the content is too long. An exception would\nbe if you are sending out exclusive and unique articles that the subscriber\nneeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    5. Link to your website for more content.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Rather than putting it all on your newsletter,\nmake sure that the result is that the reader will visit your website and\nperform an action or at least stay long enough to reduce your bounce rate.
